Booking assistants or booking VAs take care of travel and hotel bookings and reservations. They organize travel plans for CEOs and managers and helps with flight bookings, itinerary management, and transportation arrangements. Also called travel clerks or reservation agents, they work with clients over the phone or by email and offer customer care and support. Their work includes reserving hotel rooms, plane tickets, and rental vehicles.

A booking assistant plans, books, and reserves schedules, flights, and accommodations. The work involves answering customer inquiries, making travel recommendations, handling payments and their confirmation, and booking rooms and tickets. In addition, a remote booking assistant delivers superb customer service skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Recommend and/or book and reserve flights and accommodations
- Connect with hotels, airlines, and other travel-related service providers
- Serve as contact person for executives, employees, and other external partners
- Ease the flow of information in a prompt and precise manner
- Maintain executives’ calendars
- Organize meetings for CEOs and managers
- Arrange travel and accommodation requirements
- Manage schedules to avoid conflicts
- Track daily costs and prepare reports
- Attend to inquiries and concerns
- Screen and direct phone calls and send correspondence
