Information Collection
What information do we collect?
To facilitate transactions, we require clients signing up for our VA services and applicants seeking a specific job placement to give us their personally identifiable information or PII. The data to collect include, but are not limited to, your name, address, contact number, affiliation, and date of birth. We assure you that we will not sell, trade, or share your data with any third party without your permission.
Further, we may collect other forms of information from or about you and your business depending on how you use our website and its features. We have categorized them as follows:
Communication Data – any communication you send us through the contact form on the website, email, text, or social media messaging. These pieces of information will help us communicate efficiently with you.
Client Data – any detail related to the purchase of goods and/or services. These data will serve as a guarantee for lawful performance of a contract between you and us.
User Data – any information on how you use our site and our online services. This ensures we give you relevant content, maintains the security and proper operation of our website, and facilitates your business with us.
Technical Data – any data about your use of our website (IP address, browser, login data, navigation, and duration and frequency of visit, page views, etc.). These assess our website’s performance and market standing.
How do we collect information?
We may collect data about you through the responses you will place on the forms on our website. Otherwise, we may collect certain data from you as you use our website using cookies and similar technologies.
Why do we use tracking technologies?
A cookie, an example of a tracking technology, is a small data file written to your computer’s hard drive by your web browser. A cookie file can contain and/or collect information about your activity on our site such as web pages you visit, links you click, and searches you conduct. By using the uniquely assigned cookies to you, we can ease your access to our website and personalize your online experience. Besides, they cannot run programs or send viruses to your computer. A web server can only read them on the domain that issued the cookie to you.
You can accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings to decline them as you wish. If you decline cookies, however, you cannot sign in or use some features we offer on our website.
Topnotch VA uses cookies for authentication and remembering the settings and information for visitors, clients, and job applicants. Further, we use them to check trends, manage the website, track users’ movements around the website, and collect demographic information on our user base. We may get reports based on the use of these technologies from their companies.
Likewise, our website has links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such sites. Thus, we remind you to be cautious when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of other sites that collect PII.
Why do we collect your information?
The data we collected from or about you will help us improve the materials, products, and services we offer on the website. We will also use them to notify you of changes made to them or about our new products or services. Likewise, we may use your information in one of the following ways:
- To manage your account and render customer support
- To personalize your experience and improve our customer service
- To enhance our website
- To handle transactions efficiently
- To run a promotion, survey, or added site feature
- To ease the research and analysis on your use of, or interest in, our products and services
- To carry out our legitimate business interests
Do Not Sell My Personal Information
(This section and the options below apply only to California residents.)
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) gives California residents the right to opt out of the “sale” of personal information.
Other rights California residents gain as stated in the CCPA include
- The right to know about the personal information a business collects about them and how it uses and shares them;
- The right to delete personal information collected from them (with some exceptions);
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
This Privacy Policy gives you a more detailed description on how we collect, use, and share the personal information of California residents in running our business; your privacy rights as a California resident; and how to exercise your rights as a California resident. For purposes of this notice, “Personal Information” has the meaning given in the CCPA but excludes information exempted from its scope.
Top VA does not sell your Personal Information for money. Like many companies, however, we use services that help deliver interest-based ads to you and may transfer your personal information to partners for their use. Making personal information (such as online identifiers or browsing activity) available to these companies may be a “sale” under the CCPA.
To ask Top VA not to “sell” your personal information or have questions and other requests, please contact [email protected]. A few transfers of your personal information may not be a “sale” and certain exemptions may apply under the CCPA. Your request does not affect other sharing of your information, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. You will still see some advertising, regardless of your selection. Your browser saves your selection on your device.
Added Information about Your Privacy Choices
We have summarized below tools any user may use to opt out of having his/her online activity and device data collected by third parties. Please note that using these tools to opt out of tracking and targeting does not mean that you will not receive advertising while using our Services or other websites. It will also prevent you from receiving interest-based advertising from third parties that do not participate in these programs. It will exclude you, however, from interest-based advertising conducted through participating networks and platforms, as offered by their policies and choice mechanisms.
Blocking Cookies in Your Browser. Most web browsers accept cookies, but they also allow you to change your settings, often to disable or reject cookies, including cookies for interest-based advertising. If you delete cookies or set your web browser to decline them, some features of our services may not work or may not work as designed. You can always find these settings in the Options or Preferences menu of your browser and below are the links to instructions given by the most common browsers. You can also learn more at www.allaboutcookies.org.

If you connect to our website by way of a third-party platform or social media network, you may limit the information we may obtain from the third party at the time you log in to the website using the third party’s authentication service or otherwise by connecting to your account. After this, you can control your settings through the third party’s platform or service. For example, you may access and change your settings through the Facebook settings page for Apps and Websites. If you withdraw our ability to access certain information from a third-party platform or social media network, that choice will not apply to information that we have already received from that third party.
